Founded in Gothenburg in 2020 by Filip Granfeldt, great-great-grandchild of Anna Charlotta Granfeldt. In 1881 Anna Charlotta married Axel Gustavson, causing her to lose her noble title and surname as tradition demanded. At the heart of our studio is a devotion to preserve the core identity and rich heritage of the family. In 1937 Anna and Axel's son, Anders, founded a craft business making workwear and later also military garments for the Swedish army. First under the name GEFA and later Blåkläder. In the 1980s GEFA would also become the producer of Swedens most famous jeans brand ”Gul & Blå”.

The story of Anders is about a serious man with great respect from his community. He worked for the government as Landsfiskal (a combination of chief of police, county prosecutor and collector of taxes), but he was also the founder of two textile factories. Anders would always have his suit on no matter what he was doing or where he was going. The legend goes that he even went fishing in his suit. Anders represents the well dressed man, in every situation. It's his sense of style and entrepreneurial spirit that defines the Granfeldt heritage and continue to drive the brand today.
